Juliet Rose Capital
Seeking capital

For companies and projects that need capital to reach the next stage.

We will tell you quickly whether we can be useful, and just as quickly if we cannot.

Who we work with

Most companies that approach us are not short of ambition or of projects. They are short of the specific capital that matches the stage they have actually reached.

Development capital, construction capital and operating asset capital behave differently, come from different sources and ask different questions. Approaching the wrong pool with the right project wastes months, and the market remembers a business that has been shown around.

Renewable energy developers

Single assets, portfolios and pipelines, from early development through to construction and operation.

Project owners

Owners seeking project equity, recapitalisation, refinancing introductions or a route to exit.

Energy technology companies

Businesses past demonstration, with paying customers and a defined route to scale.

Infrastructure businesses

Platforms, connection and network assets, flexible capacity and enabling infrastructure.

What we expect

Not everything on this list applies to every opportunity. Where something is missing, say so and say why.

Commercial
  • A clear investment proposition, stated in a paragraph
  • A defined capital requirement and instrument
  • A use of proceeds tied to a specific milestone
  • A commercial strategy beyond the current raise
  • An exit or return thesis where relevant
Evidence
  • Financial information and a working model
  • Project or technical documentation
  • Development status, consents and land position
  • Grid position and connection dates where applicable
  • Management team and delivery record

One request above all. Present the position as it is. Investors discount problems that are disclosed and disengage entirely from problems they discover. An opportunity with a known weakness, stated plainly alongside the plan to address it, reads considerably better than one that is silent.

What happens next

01

You submit

Through the form, or by email if you would rather send materials directly. Confidentiality arrangements are agreed before anything of substance moves.

02

We review

We assess whether the opportunity falls within our sectors and existing capital relationships. Usually within five working days.

03

We respond either way

If we can be useful, we say how and on what basis. If we cannot, we say why, and where relevant we say what would change the answer.

04

We map and introduce

Capital sources are identified against mandate. Introductions are made only to parties you have agreed to, with the materials you have prepared.

Questions

Do you charge developers a fee?

Fee arrangements are agreed in writing before any work begins and vary with the nature of the mandate. We do not ask for payment in order to be considered, and we will tell you whether we can be useful before any commercial discussion takes place.

What size of requirement do you work with?

We are most useful where the requirement runs from several million pounds to several hundred million. Smaller requirements are usually better served by local or specialist sources, and we will say so.

Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?

Yes. Confidentiality arrangements are put in place before materials of substance are shared, and nothing is shown to a third party without your agreement to that party.

Can you guarantee that you will find an investor?

No. No introducer can, and any party promising otherwise is worth avoiding. We can tell you honestly whether we hold relationships that fit and how the opportunity is likely to be read.

How quickly will I hear back?

An initial view on whether we can be useful is usually given within five working days of receiving a complete submission.
