Technologies that improve efficiency, reduce emissions or produce energy at lower cost.
Technology businesses raise capital on a different basis from projects. There is no asset to secure against and no contracted revenue stream to model. What is being financed is commercial traction and the credibility of the route to scale.
The investors are different too. Infrastructure capital rarely takes technology risk. Growth equity, strategic corporate investors and specialist transition funds do, and each looks first at evidence of paying customers, unit economics and a defensible position rather than at the technology itself.
We consider businesses that have moved beyond demonstration and can evidence commercial deployment, and we are candid with founders when a business is earlier than the capital we can introduce.
Categories of capital, not named relationships. Fit is assessed against stated mandate on a case by case basis.
Tell us the stage, the amount, the instrument and what the capital funds. Where the requirement is defined and the evidence exists, we will tell you quickly whether we can be useful.
If your mandate covers clean technology, set out the criteria you apply. Introductions are made only against them.
